Work with complex Electrical Engineering tasks

As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will cover all phases in a project from pre-studies to detail level. As part of this, you will work independently with complex tasks in a project. Further, a key responsibility is to act as a discipline lead for EIT (Electrical, Instrumental and Telecom) in certain projects and be responsible for the EIT group progress. In a smaller, yet substantial part of the position, you will be involved in the department development e.g. development and knowledge sharing to you colleagues.

Your daily tasks will be to:

  • Execute complicated tasks and analysis for electrical design (FEBDOK, EDSA)
  • Play an important role in preparation of philosophies and specifications as well as preparation and evaluation of project documentation
  • Execute input from EIT discipline for tender projects
  • Report progress on tasks independently performed or as a discipline leader for a group in a project
  • Coordinate and follow up of electrical design and interface to other disciplines equipment packages
  • Plan and coordinate activities for the electrical discipline in the project
  • Verification of work done by others inside or outside our organisation within the electrical discipline
  • Guidance/mentoring of younger engineers (2-3), including the recruitment of them

Adding to that, you set clearly defined objectives, plans activities and projects well in advance, and take into account possible changing circumstances. Further, you are great at analyzing and it is natural for you to see how one issue may be a part of a much larger system. Another personal quality is your ability to communicate clearly, yet tactfully, so that others see you as a valid sparring partner and mentor. In addition, you possess the following qualifications:

  • Engineer, bachelor or master degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Min. 10 years of relevant experience from design of electrical power systems
  • Min. 5 years of experience within the Norwegian oil and gas industry
  • Experience as a Discipline Leader
